Croatia
From Slovenia we took the train to Zagreb the capitol of Croatia. Zagreb aligns as much with Astria-Hungary as it does with the former Yugoslavia with it's baroque architecture. It also has plenty of gray cubic apartment buildings to remind you of it's 50 years as a communist country.
From Zagreb we flew on a little prop plan to Dubrovnik - the pearl of the Adriatic as they say. We stayed for a couple of days in an apartment inside the city walls before taking a bus to Split the second largest city in Croatia. We were in Split for 5 days and day tripped Trogir before flying to Amsterdam.
